A Surprising Correspondence: How an Exchange of Letters Between Karl Barth and Dorothy L. Sayers Models Gracious Theological Discourse
Abstract
David W. McNutt translates the renowned theologian Karl Barth’s communications to Dorothy L. Sayers, showing how the two thinkers and writers connected briefly but deeply over their Christian faith and theology. Barth eventually prefaced and translated into German Sayers’s work, The Greatest Drama Ever Staged. Barth’s letter to Sayers, as well as his foreword to her book, are published in English here for the first time.
