David Llewellyn Dodds, Independent Scholar

David Llewellyn Dodds is the editor of both the Charles Williams and John Masefield volumes in Boydell & Brewer’s Arthurian Poets series (Arthurian Studies XXIV and XXXII), and the author of the entry on Williams and his fiction in the Dictionary of Literary Biography, Vol. 153. He was Scholar Guest of Honor at Mythcon 32. He has been president of the Oxford C.S. Lewis Society, curator of The Kilns, and interviewer for the Wade Center Oral History Project. He has published various papers and reviews in the Charles Williams Quarterly, the Inklings Jahrbuch, Lembas, Beyond Bree, VII, and the volumes Scholarship and Fantasy: The Tolkien Phenomenon, Anglicana Turkuensia No. 12 (1993), Lembas-Extra (1993-94; 2016; 2022), and The Rhetoric of Vision: Essays on Charles Williams (1996). Online, he has written guest posts for Dr. Sørina Higgins at The Oddest Inkling, and in 2018 he co-edited the Inklings and Arthur series with Dr. Brenton Dickieson at A Pilgrim in Narnia.
