Author Biography

  • Laura Schmidt, Marion E. Wade Center

    Laura Schmidt has served as archivist at the Marion E. Wade Center at Wheaton College since 2005 and is also the staff adviser of the Wheaton College Tolkien Society. She graduated from Wheaton College with a double major in English literature and history and earned her master’s degree (M.S.I.) in the science of information, with a specialization in archives and records, management from the University of Michigan’s School of Information. Schmidt is the author of Using Archives: A Guide to Effective Research (2011), has a forthcoming chapter in the book The Undiscovered C.S. Lewis: Essays in Memory of Christopher W. Mitchell (Winged Lion Press, Fall 2021), and has spoken extensively on the Wade Center and its seven authors over the years.
